Welcome to Ponyboy Approved: Cinema #2. I love movies and I started a folder with some of my favorites and randomly selected 10 of them to share. Check out Ponyboy Approved: Cinema v1 here. Do it now!
Deliverance. This is a classic, if you haven’t seen this movie you’re missing out. “Squeal like a piggy boy!!”
Albino Alligator. This is a great, little known, movie directed by Kevin Spacey. It’s about a group of robbers who take shelter in a bar in New Orleans that is surrounded by the police. It’s a great movie.
Beerfest. You’ll either love this movie or hate it. I happen to love it. From the guys who made and starred in Super Troopers, Beerfest takes us to Germany where USA joins the biggest beer drinking competition in history. There was a time whenever I watched this movie I had to get drunk. I’ve seen this movie at least 20 times. Hooooorn!!!!!
Big Trouble in Little China. This is an 80s classic that is still amazing. Buy this movie.
Blood In Blood Out. As a kid I was infatuated with Mexican gangster movies. American Me, Angel Town, Mi Vida Loca, Colors, you name it. One of the best is definitely Blood In Blood Out. Vatos Locos vs. Tres Puntos por vida esse.
Fire in the Sky. This is a crazy movie. I actually saw it in the theaters back in the day. I watched it not to long ago and it’s still pretty nuts. It’s based on a true story and definitely worth watching.
Gladiator. You’ve most likely seen this movie, if you haven’t, you must live under a rock. This is one of the best movies ever. Maximus is such a badass.
Man on Fire. This is a great Tony Scott movie (RIP.) Creasy is one of my favorite characters. I actually wish they would have made a Man on Fire prequel that showed Creasy in his early years cracking necks and perfecting his art of death. -“He’s about to paint his masterpiece!”
Rambo. This is my favorite Rambo movie hands down. I was a bit hesitant to watch it the first time because I expected Stallone to over complicate things and blow it. He actually did the opposite. Rambo is pure testosterone that starts and ends with guns blazing. You can buy in for $2 on Amazon.
True Romance. This movie is great. It was written by Quentin Tarantino and features the hottest Patrica Arquette you will ever see. Check it out, the music is really good too.
